Software Products "Tatsoft"
The Tatar language, as the state language of the Republic of Tatarstan and the native language of millions of people in Tatarstan, Russia, and worldwide, has long been represented in information technologies. Increasingly, people want to use their native language when working with modern means of informatization and communication to solve their tasks more effectively.
To make this possible, localization is used—a special type of translation related to adapting data to the cultural context of the people or region into whose language the translation is being done. Software localization typically involves developing special programs (drivers) that enable input, editing, and printing of texts in the national language, as well as translating and adapting interface elements, help and auxiliary files, and documentation. The issue of Tatar localization is of immense importance for more than five million Tatars living in the Russian Federation, as well as for large diaspora communities abroad.
The Tatsoft project is intended for everyone interested in using the Tatar language in modern information and communication technologies. The main goal of the project is to provide, in one place, information about the localization of computers and software, mobile devices and applications, as well as web resources into the Tatar language. This gives millions of Tatars worldwide the opportunity to use modern information and communication technologies in their native language within a unified information space and according to unified standards.
